Abstract: The field of neuroscience has experienced explosive growth over the last 30 years. New techniques have been developed and a huge amount of data has been gathered. Much is still to be understood about the brain, though, and it is increasingly becoming clear that theoretical and computational approaches will be essential for the success of this enterprise. The aim of this course is to provide computer science students with the basics of computational neuroscience methods, and to introduce them to current research topics in computational cognitive neuroscience.
